Regitze Engelsborg Karlsen

In her personal life and and in her practice, Regitze Engelsborg Karlsen is preoccupied with our relationship with water, earth, stone and air, our shared materials, our raw materials. How do we interact with these materials? How do we understand them? How well do we look after them? She explores what happens when you take ownership of these materials, turn them into products, into goods and commodities.

What we do matters; the materials we use matter; the way we use them matters. Karlsen is convinced that we urgently need to reset our partnership with the landscape. She is interested in exploring how she herself contributes to creating narratives about the landscape and its materials.
